Welcome to Survey Sites Reviewed

This site is in response to my efforts of trying to find legitimate ways to make a little extra cash on the internet.

Over the last couple of years, I have been looking for ways to save money or even make money via the internet.  There are many sites out there that claim that you can make hundreds to thousands of dollars a month by filling out surveys.  Some are fee based sites, some are scams and some are free.  Of course I started with the free sites.  Over the next several weeks I am going to try to give an unbiased opinion based on my experiences with all the sites that I am using.  As I have time, I will also be looking into new sites as well as some of the pay sites.  I also use a few rewards based sites that don't necessarily fall into the survey category but I will be sharing my experiences with those as well.

Thanks for stopping by.

Survey Savvy was the first survey site I ever joined.  I was invited to join from a friend at work. We had been discussing making money on the side during an afternoon walk at work.  He suggested I check it out since he had just joined and had earned a little cash already.  During the first week I filled out the "My Portrait" demographics section of the site and within a week or two I had my first survey invitation.  I went in and started the survey and actually qualified for it.  It was an ongoing study that required no effort on my part and paid $20 the first month and then $10 each additional month for three months and then if I continued after that another $10 for every quarter.  I had to setup something one time and after that I pretty much did nothing except my normal daily Internet/eMail routines.  I've been a member for over a year now and to me it seems to be the best survey site so far.

Over the last year the number of surveys I have received from Survey Savvy has been less than I would like compared to other sites that send me one every day.  Several of the surveys I have received invitations for have had offers for $25+ for completion.  This is much better than most of the other sites that offer $1 for 30 minute surveys or just an entry into their sweepstakes.  Don't get me wrong, Survey Savvy has also sent me $1 survey invitations but usually they are for 10-15 minutes.

Once my balance reached close to $100 I decided to request a payment.  It's been a while ago so I don't remember exactly how long it took for me to receive the check but if I remember correctly it wasn't all that long.  Their site says to allow 4-6 weeks for payment but it was much quicker than that.

Survey Savvy also offers a referral program that seems to be pretty decent.  It offers incentives of course for me to complete surveys but also when my referrals complete surveys as well as their referrals.

Just another little tid bit about Survey Savvy is that they are certified by the Better Business Bureau.  With all the scams out there these days, I've started looking for this more and more.  It just adds a little more assurance that you won't get screwed.
